The other party is not responding to me

Having the other party not respond is an extremely frustrating feeling. This article will outline how to best deal with this issue.

If you are not currently in a rental with the other party

While frustrating, if you are not currently in a rental with the other party, the best course of action is to look for someone else to start your rental with! Look for someone with good response times so that when you do initiate your rental, that it goes smoothly!

If you are currently in a rental with the other party

The BonoBooks team has policies in place that are outlined in the Terms Of Service to protect parties that are being active, but are being met with silence.

If you are the lender

If you are the lender and the renter is not responding to your attempts to set up a place and time to have the book returned by the Return Deadline, then they will simply be charged. For more information on that process, click here. However, you must remain vigilant and be open until the agreed Return Deadline before throwing in the towel.

If you are the renter

If you are the renter and the lender does not respond to your requests for a meetup, up to the agreed Return Deadline, then you will simply get to keep the book at no cost. You must, however, be proactive until the Return Deadline has passed.
